Background

This training program is initiated through the collaboration between the Stock Exchange of Thailand and Expara (Thailand) under Youth Business International's the Rapid Response & Recovery Program, supported by Google.org.

 

With focus on the most common issues in Thai early stage start up fund raising deals, this training program aims to provide the in-depth knowledge for Thai entrepreneurs in start-up fund raising, create awareness among Thai entrepreneurs on critical issues that may hinder fund raising deals and share insights from investors on preventive measures and alternative courses of actions​.

The five training sessions cover the following topics: 

 

• The "Messy Cap Table" and the impact on startup's fund raising potential and possible remedial actions​

​​

• Valuation of early stage startup using the VC method & what's behind the number 

​​

• The importance and implication of Exit Strategies on fund raising plan

​​

• Key considerations, investment process and criteria of Corporate Venture Capital (CVC)

​​

• Comparative analysis of a "good" versus a fatal deal in early stage fund raising.

​
